Working as part of a collaborative team, the Portfolio Manager will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of equity and joint venture investments, all focused on housing delivery and placemaking. The role involves the active support and management of high-profile equity investments, supporting the delivery of new homes through innovative funding structures and partnerships. Strong commercial analysis, financial modelling and risk management skills will be essential to help achieve investment objectives, housing targets and successful investment exits. A good understanding of shareholder and partnership agreements will also be important.
You will build and manage relationships with investment partners, including C-suite stakeholders, and gain exposure to senior leaders across NHB and Government departments through regular reporting and governance forums.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of high-profile transactions while balancing day-to-day portfolio management with the development of innovative solutions across our equity and joint venture activities.

Used to managing priorities, you will deliver excellent stakeholder service while continually seeking opportunities to improve and innovate. Ideally from a real estate, banking or corporate finance background, you will have experience of commercial issues, liquidity management and financing structures within the residential sector.
You will have report-writing skills, be comfortable navigating legal agreements, including shareholder agreements, and possess advanced Excel skills with a good understanding of financial models, cashflows and key investment metrics such as ROI, IRR, NPV and income yields. You will be a confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, and comfortable presenting to senior audiences.

Resilient and commercially minded, you will be able to influence stakeholders at all levels, negotiate effectively, and work collaboratively within a high-performing and inclusive team.
