Help build the National Housing Bank

The National Housing Bank (NHB) is a new government-backed financial institution, operating as a subsidiary of Homes England, established to unlock investment and accelerate housing delivery across England.

We're looking for a Head – Lending Alliances to join the Debt Origination team and help shape one of the UK's most significant housing finance platforms.

Reporting to: Stuart Dawkins, Assistant Director of Lending Alliances.

You will play a critical role in leading a team that creates lending alliances to increase our reach and ensure that there are a range of financial products available to SME developers. You will manage the team’s pipeline, structuring new transactions, taking proposals through our approval process, oversee due diligence and contract new alliances.

About You

You'll bring significant experience in line management, financial modelling and residential development lending at corporate level. You will be able to work creatively and to constructively challenge stakeholders.  You will also be able to critically analyse proposals, financial models and legal documents, identifying key commercial considerations. You will be comfortable taking opportunities through approval processes and presenting arguments in a clear and reasoned manner.

You will be used to managing competing priorities, have excellent organisational skills and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to help shape a new institution with a clear purpose and support housing delivery at scale.

Why Join?

Backed by £16bn of new financial capacity, the National Housing Bank will work with investors, lenders, developers, housing associations and government partners to crowd in more than £50bn of private investment and support the delivery of 500,000 additional homes across England.

This is a rare opportunity to work collaboratively across teams within the National Housing Bank.

Please find attached job description alongside additional information about the selection process, who we are and what we offer.
