A bit about the role...

Working in the Data Culture and Engagement team with Emma Tilley and Alycia Desai, the Data Business Partner will play an important role in helping colleagues across Homes England make better use of data to inform decisions and improve outcomes. You'll join a collaborative and ambitious team focused on helping colleagues realise greater value from data through improved data literacy, effective engagement, stronger governance and a culture where data is trusted, understood and used with confidence.

Alycia is passionate about helping colleagues succeed with data. She believes that creating a strong data culture starts with understanding people's needs and communicating in ways that are clear, engaging and meaningful. Through impactful communications, practical support and strong partnerships, she is committed to setting colleagues up for success, helping them build confidence in data and enabling them to make better-informed decisions that deliver positive outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with colleagues across Homes England, supporting and delivering communications, engagement activities and campaigns that encourage wider adoption of data tools, products, standards and services. You'll help shape how data is communicated across the organisation, translating strategic priorities into clear, engaging messages that help colleagues understand how data can support better decision-making and improved outcomes.

You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining the Data Hub, ensuring colleagues can easily access helpful guidance, resources, learning materials and information about data-related initiatives. You'll also support engagement through Viva Engage and other communication channels, helping create an active and supportive data community where colleagues can learn from one another, share good practice and celebrate success.

Working closely with business areas and data specialists, you'll help gather feedback, identify barriers to adoption and support continuous improvement activities that make it easier for colleagues to access, understand and use data effectively. You'll build relationships across the organisation, acting as a key contact for data culture and engagement activity while promoting good practices around data quality, governance, ownership and responsible data use.

You'll also contribute to events, campaigns, case studies and success stories that demonstrate the impact of data across Homes England, helping colleagues understand not just the data itself, but the actions, decisions and outcomes that trusted data can enable.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships, creating engaging communications and helping colleagues develop confidence in using data in their day-to-day work.

A bit about you…

You'll be an organised and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders and helping people solve problems. You'll be naturally curious, keen to understand business challenges and motivated by helping colleagues make better use of data.

You'll be a strong communicator, able to take complex or technical information and translate it into clear, engaging and accessible messages for different audiences. Whether creating content, supporting campaigns, facilitating discussions or producing communications materials, you'll be able to communicate with confidence and credibility.

You'll have a flair for communications and engagement, with experience creating content, running campaigns, supporting events or building communities and networks. You'll enjoy finding creative ways to engage colleagues, sharing success stories and making complex topics accessible, relevant and interesting for a wide range of audiences. Experience using platforms such as SharePoint, Viva Engage or similar collaboration and communication tools would be beneficial.

You'll understand how data can support better decisions, improve performance and help organisations achieve their objectives. You'll also appreciate the importance of governance, quality and responsible data use, helping colleagues understand these principles in a practical and proportionate way.

You'll enjoy building relationships, gathering feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement. You'll be comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues from across the organisation and contributing to initiatives that strengthen data adoption, capability and culture.

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about helping people understand and use data effectively, creating positive experiences that build confidence, trust and engagement and helping embed a culture where data is valued, understood and used to support Homes England's objectives.
