The role of the Transaction Execution team is to project manage Complex Lending Alliance transactions through due diligence to contractual completion. This will require working closely with, lender counterparties, legal advisors, debt advisory firms where relevant, external consultants, senior leadership, as well as key internal stakeholders, ensuring transactions are progressed in an efficient and concise manner. The post holder should have a fluent understanding of LMA debt principles as well as strong technical knowledge of structured debt transactions within the Real Estate sector.

 

About the role...

 

Working in a team with transaction execution specialists, the Senior Manager will focus on contracting Complex debt transactions in Lending Alliances. You will play a pivotal role in a newly formed team responsible for owning the contracting process, driving efficiency, and collaborating effectively to deliver commercially focused, complex, and innovative transactions with other lenders.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in shaping our delivery processes, systematically improving the way we conduct due diligence and execute contracts. Working with Borrowers, Lender counterparties, internal stakeholders and Loans colleagues, you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective execution of Lending Alliance transactions, as well as contributing to a thorough handover process to Portfolio Management.

About you...

 

Whilst your day job is to deliver a first-class service to our internal and external stakeholders, you will be used to looking for ways to improve and innovate. You will be an effective collaborator, be able to negotiate as well as applying your technical skills to deliver Lending Alliance transactions. In order to keep on top of transactions, you will demonstrate excellent organisational skills as well as working well within a team.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and proficient in managing stakeholders at all levels and your discussions will always be framed by a detailed understanding of the commercial and operational impacts of what we do as a wider Loans team. You will thrive on developing new ways of working as you seek out efficiencies and standardisation, working in an innovative way to contribute to the achievement of your team’s ambitious goals. 

You should have knowledge and or experience of working on Complex debt structures within the Real Estate sector, and a good understanding of debt principles across Participation, co-investment and forward flow or loan on loan arrangements. You should have strong team working ethics and an ability to think creatively to find pragmatic solutions to complex transactional and execution challenges in a collaborative environment.
