The National Housing Bank (NHB) is a new government-backed financial institution, operating as a subsidiary of Homes England, established to unlock investment and accelerate housing delivery across England.

We're looking for a Director, Equity Portfolio Management to join the NHB Senior Leadership Team and help shape one of the UK's most significant housing finance platforms.

Salary: c. £140,000–£150,000 plus benefits, depending on skills and experience.

Reporting to: Executive Director, Equity

You'll lead the team that manages the NHB’s existing £1billion of commitments made to-date across funds, partnerships and joint ventures and assume responsibly for  its new £3-4 billion equity capacity in to platforms that pull private  capital in to housing delivery and regeneration.

You’ll work with investors, developers, housing associations, and central and local government partners to unlock housing and regeneration opportunities at scale and deliver on the NHB objectives.  You will work very closely with the Executive Director, Equity and the Director, Equity Transactions.

About You

You will be an experienced investment, finance or real assets professional with a strong track record in asset management, corporate finance or investment banking, ideally gained within a financial institution.  You will bring deep expertise in managing equity positions in funds, partnerships and joint ventures and assessing both financial and delivery performance.

Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to be part of a new financial institution with clear purpose.

Why Join?

Backed by £16bn of new financial capacity, the National Housing Bank will work with investors, lenders, developers, housing associations and government partners to crowd in more than £50bn of private investment and support the delivery of 500,000 additional homes across England.
