You will be an integral member of the Governance Office, supporting the Company Secretary to ensure governance activity is delivered consistently and reliably, enabling confident and timely executive decision‑making.
Your role will focus on co-ordinating and operationally delivering the governance support function, ensuring effective planning, preparation, and quality assurance of governance activities across the directorate. You will provide authoritative guidance on governance processes, oversee the end-to-end production and accuracy of governance outputs, and play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of key decision-making forums through proactive co-ordination and strong relationships with Board and Committee members, senior stakeholders, and wider colleagues.
You will work as part of an experienced Governance Office team, helping to maintain clear processes, share best practice, and ensure efficient and high-quality support for all governance activities.
You are an organised and proactive governance professional with experience providing high-quality operational and administrative support in a complex organisation. You are confident coordinating multi-step governance processes, managing competing priorities, and delivering accurate outputs on time.
You thrive in building strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, including Board Members, Executive Directors, and wider colleagues, ensuring clear communication and reliable support. You have a sound understanding of governance operations, meeting cycles, and procedural requirements, and are able to interpret and explain these processes to others effectively.
You are skilled at identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, embracing emerging technologies, and maintaining robust administrative systems. You can work independently when required, while contributing collaboratively to a high-performing team, supporting the smooth functioning of governance forums and decision-making processes.
Ultimately, you are resilient, professional, and highly organised, ensuring that the Governance Office delivers a first-class service to the Company Secretary, the Board, and the wider organisation.
