A bit about the role...

 

Working within the Northstowe team, the Development Manager will support the progression and delivery of one of the UK’s largest strategic new town developments.

 

You will join a collaborative project team working across planning, technical, commercial and delivery disciplines to support the continued progression of the Northstowe programme.

 

Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, the role supports the progression of live development and land disposal projects. This includes coordinating technical and commercial inputs, working with consultant teams and assisting with tender and disposal processes to help maintain programme progress.

 

You will support Senior Development Managers and contribute to the delivery of multiple workstreams across the Northstowe programme, working across a range of development, commercial and project coordination activities.

 

The Development Manager will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Northstowe as a nationally significant new town, contributing to Homes England’s ambition to accelerate housing delivery and create high-quality places where people want to live and work.

 

The role provides exposure to the commercial and technical aspects of large-scale development, including development appraisal, land disposal processes, infrastructure coordination and stakeholder engagement across a complex multi-phase programme.

 

You will support the resolution of complex development, land disposal and infrastructure coordination issues, helping to address development and delivery challenges and contributing to the creation of high-quality places within a nationally significant new town. 

  

A bit about you…

 

You’ll be comfortable supporting the Senior Development Managers with complex development and delivery issues, aiming to maintain progress across the Northstowe programme. You will be proficient in coordinating technical and commercial inputs across projects.

 

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a Northstowe development team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

 

As an experienced development / property / regeneration professional, with a relevant degree or professional qualification (for example RICS or RTPI), or working towards professional accreditation, you’ll be able to manage multiple workstreams to challenging deadlines and work effectively with others as part of a collaborative and inclusive team.
