A bit about the role...

 

Working in a team with Shahi Islam, Director of Affordable Housing, the Assistant Director of Provider Services will play a critical role in the delivery of grant funded social and affordable housing. You will be joining an experienced and highly successful team, who are committed to delivering the Agency and Government’s commitment to increasing the number of social and affordable homes.

 

This senior role leads the team responsible for the contractual and assurance processes that support social and affordable Housing grant programmes. It is an important role that provides stewardship and oversight for grant funding, ensuring grants are used appropriately, risks are well managed, and partners can deliver effectively. They will lead on the development and continued management of the grant agreements that underpin delivery.

 

The role includes a varied portfolio that covers operations, partner onboarding, contract and operational policy, historical grant and compliance audit.  The role provides a key supporting function to the appropriate allocation and subsequent management and monitoring of grant. 

 

You will work within a large and multi-functional team with key values of the Affordable Housing Team centred on collaboration, diversity in experience and perspective, with the aim to foster good decision making and problem solving within the team.

 

 

A bit about you…

 

You will be able to show your strong leadership skills in both people and programme management and be able to balance multiple and changing workstreams, often to tight deadlines. You will have strong skills in investigation, compliance and contracts with a good eye for detail. You will lead on producing operational policy and advising senior colleagues on our approach to allocating and managing grant. An excellent communicator you will bring skills in being able to produce a range of briefings and reports to present and advise internal and external partners. You will be able to negotiate and persuade with confidence.

 

You will also be resilient and comfortable managing a number of stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an affordable housing team.
