A bit about the role...

Working in a team with the Senior Sponsorship Manager and wider Sponsorship, Government and Parliament team, the Public Scrutiny Manager will play a critical role in delivering Homes England's public scrutiny activity. You will be joining our small but highly skilled team who are committed to positively delivering on Homes England's mission.

The team is dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service, taking a collaborative and rigorous approach to scrutiny activity and resolving issues informally wherever possible,. The team adopts an open approach and values diversity in experience to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team.

This is a rare chance to shape the future of the Agency's scrutiny activity in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and an experienced engagement team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective delivery of public scrutiny and the have the opportunity to help communicate Homes England's work to key partners.

The role will support the design and delivery of key scrutiny projects, engaging with stakeholders including the National Audit Office and Parliament. There are some exciting projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to the scrutiny offering.

A bit about you…

You'll be comfortable supporting senior leaders preparing for public scrutiny, aiming to effectively communicate the Agency's activity. You will be proficient in presenting complex information in a clear and concise way, engaging stakeholders at all levels and thinking strategically to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an enabling team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

As an experienced scrutiny professional you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
