As the Government’s housing and regeneration agency, we work with partners to tackle housing challenges and enable the delivery of new homes. Our Data and Analytics Directorate plays a vital role in this mission, providing the data, insights, and intelligence necessary to support both existing operations and new opportunities that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
Joining the Data and Analytics Directorate means becoming part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team that is committed to making a tangible impact on the housing landscape in England. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about data, motivated to solve complex challenges, and eager to contribute to the success of one of the nation’s most important public agencies.
As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role within the Data & Analytics directorate, driving the development and implementation of robust data architecture frameworks, patterns, and standards across the organisation. This role offers the chance to shape Homes England's data ecosystem, ensuring that data is well-structured, secure, and easily accessible to meet current and future business needs.
You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including data engineers, analysts, and business subject matter experts, to design and manage data models and structures that meet corporate standards and enable seamless integration across internal and external applications. As a technical authority for data architecture, you will shape and refine the agency’s data assets, enhancing cross-system connectivity and supporting data-driven decision-making.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and supporting the data architecture for Homes England. You’ll help ensure data is managed effectively across the organisation, enabling better decisions and delivering real societal value by supporting the creation of safe, sustainable, and high-quality homes that improve lives and strengthen communities.
You are an experienced data professional with a background in data architecture frameworks, tools, and best practices, combined with hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable data models and infrastructure. You bring knowledge of data engineering concepts, including conceptual, logical, and physical data designs, and are skilled in designing solutions for both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
You have demonstrated your ability to communicate complex technical concepts with clarity, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. With a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, you excel at identifying opportunities for improvement, overcoming challenges, and delivering results that align with organisational objectives.
You are adept at building collaborative relationships across technical and business teams, using your interpersonal skills to drive shared goals. Your experience in Agile environments ensures you are comfortable working in a dynamic setting, where priorities evolve and adaptability is key.
Above all, you are passionate about the power of data to drive innovation, efficiency, and better decision-making.
