Working in a team with Jordon Christopher, our Senior Manager for Contracting Operations, the Manager will play will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of funded programmes by overseeing the administration and management of contracts, deeds, and contractual correspondence; undertaking thorough due diligence to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of all contractual documentation; proactively identifying and resolving contractual queries and risks; maintaining internal databases and tracking systems; and monitoring and managing contract risk through bespoke internal monitoring processes. You will be joining our small but highly skilled and experienced team, who are committed in delivering the Affordable Housing Grant Programmes for Homes England while providing the highest standard of customer service.
Jordon is dedicated to delivering first-class customer service, promoting early and informal resolution of customer issues wherever possible, and taking an innovative, creative approach to operational challenges. Jordon believes in working in a collaborative and reflective way to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team. You’ll be expected to work in a collaborative and adaptable way, applying your experience to support effective governance and resolve contractual issues. You’ll demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a methodical approach to due diligence, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity across all contractual documentation. You’ll also exercise sound judgment, contribute to continuous improvement, and foster effective working relationships across teams.

The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects around affordable housing growth and investment. There are some exciting projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing creative solutions to the contracting operations function
A bit about you…
Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders on Affordable Housing you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You’ll be comfortable supporting the programme team with complex contractual and delivery issues, driving consistent and value-focused outcomes. You’ll demonstrate proficiency in contract management, stakeholder engagement, and the use of IT systems and data to inform performance reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an contracting operations team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
As an experienced contract management and commercial governance professional, you’ll understand how to lead and support colleagues, and demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively and inclusively as part of a team.
