A bit about the role...

 

Working in a team with our Assistant Director - Enterprise and Operational Risk, the Head of Risk Policy and Frameworks will play a critical role in developing, maintaining and continuously improving enterprise risk management framework, policies and guidance. The role leads risk reporting, providing leaders with risk insights to make informed, balanced decisions.  

 

You will also work closely with leaders to support the review of principal risks, offering critical insight, thoughtful challenge and encouraging robust discussion. You will be joining our talented, highly skilled and experienced team of risk professionals, who are committed to making positive change to enable a mature risk culture, where risks are understood and managed to support balanced risk-taking. 

 

Our Assistant Director - Enterprise and Operational Risk is committed to delivering an exceptional service to colleagues and stakeholders, taking an open and transparent approach to risk requests and resolving challenging requests informally where possible. Rebekah believes in working collaboratively and values diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team.

 

This is a rare chance to shape the approach to managing risk in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional risk team you will ensure efficient, consistent, robust and forward looking approach to managing risk across the whole organisation. 

 

The role will support the design and delivery of enterprise-wide risk management framework, embedding of risk appetite and driving consistency in the application of risk framework, guidance and tooling. There are some exciting projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to improving the team's service offer.

 

 

A bit about you…

 

You'll be an experienced risk professional with a deep expertise in developing and embedding enterprise-wide risk frameworks, policies and guidance. You'll bring strong technical knowledge, with expertise in translating complex risk concepts into accessible presentations and a proven track record in drafting high quality risk reports with clarity and impact. You will be proficient in collaborating across a wide group of internal stakeholders, building relationships to succeed in your role and gently challenging when necessary. 

 

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a Risk team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

 

As an experienced risk professional you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
