You’ll play a pivotal part in driving forward strategic media relations activity and plans as part of the external communications strategy, and lend dynamic support to external communications colleagues with proactive and reactive tasks as required.
The role demands collaborative working and sound decision-making skills, alongside the ability to adapt individual and shared priorities to achieve objectives with professionalism, accuracy and a good pinch of enthusiasm.

This role is perfect for an experienced media relations professional and skilled communicator who can hit the ground running, loves making a positive difference through talent and teamwork, and views a fast-paced environment with favour not fear.
Your media insight, ideas and expertise will help drive a first class press office function alongside media inputs and outputs as we strive to inspire a brilliant, diverse set of audiences through impactful stories that showcase our mission in action.
You’ll be an agile operator with strong media and political knowledge, communications skills and an eye for detail, confident at juggling multiple communications challenges with speed not haste. You’ll be comfortable leading or contributing to operational and strategic tasks through clear action or advice, working at managerial level.
You’ll have excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills to senior level, while your discussions will always be shaped by our values and a strong understanding of the communications profession, from insight to evaluation.
