Working in a team with David Hodson, Head of Infrastructure Finance, the Senior Portfolio Manager will play a critical role managing a portfolio of complex, recoverable Infrastructure Loan debt transactions, unlocking and accelerating housing delivery and facilitating regeneration of key strategic, residential led projects. Typical loan sizes range between £10m and £100m plus.
You will be joining our small but experienced team who are committed to making positive change that ensures key housing led schemes are delivered, working closely with Master Developers, Housebuilders and Property Developers across the breadth of England.
Portfolio Management is delivery focused and dedicated to delivering first-class customer service, taking an innovative and creative approach to complex issues. We work in a collaborative way and flexible way. We also value diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within our team.
This is a rare chance to shape future housing delivery and strategic regeneration projects in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders you will ensure effective management of a portfolio of loans with efficient, consistent, and effective resolution of any issues arising and have the opportunity to help deliver funding support for schemes that otherwise wouldn’t move forward.
The role will support the design and delivery of debt funding solutions for key strategic projects across England. This is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery with bringing forward innovative solutions to complex debt funding challenges.
Whilst our day job is to manage a portfolio of Infrastructure Loans to Master Developers, Housebuilders and Property Developers and to deliver first class customer service to our borrowers, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You'll be highly motivated, well organised, task focused with strong analytical skills, able to manage and vary complex debt structuring solutions, underpinned by strong commercial lending and risk management skills. You will be proficient in real estate funding with financial and investment modelling capability considered beneficial. You'll be comfortable supporting the Agencies Strategic Objectives with good communication and report writing skills.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders and Borrowers at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of our strategic priorities, risk appetite and the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a front-line portfolio management team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun, and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
As an experienced real estate banking professional, you’ll understand how to manage and build relationships with colleagues and partners and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
