The Senior Strategy Administrator will join a small, expert Strategy Team, at the centre of the Agency and its future thinking on the built environment. The team undertakes analysis and explores the evidence on what works (and what does not), tests hypotheses and designs new concepts and solutions to policy and delivery challenges. The team is at the heart of the Agency’s role in translating Government policy and ambition into clear delivery strategies working with our Board and Executive Team on some of the Agency’s biggest priorities.
Recently this has included setting the Agency’s 5-year strategic direction via the Strategic Plan, preparing the Board and Agency for the policy themes of the new Government and driving the successful agreement of a comprehensive multi-year Spending Review settlement that will ensure the Agency is equipped to revolutionise its efforts to tackle the country’s housing crisis.
The team is led by Kris Krasnowski (Assistant Director Strategy and Head of the Policy Profession) and provides a rare chance to play a leading role in designing tomorrow’s innovations and setting future direction on housing and regeneration in a newly empowered Agency with real social purpose.
The role will provide essential support within the central strategy team, assisting in the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives. This dynamic role will involve assisting with the coordination and management of the team’s projects, applying the correct methodologies, processes and tools associated with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) to support amongst other things, the roll out of the new Strategic Plan, facilitating the transition of new funding, and helping to embed innovation and evidence-based approaches across the Agency’s work.
Whilst our day job is to deliver insight, analysis and first class support to key stakeholders on agency-wide housing delivery strategies, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve, innovate and add value.
You'll thrive collaborating with senior colleagues on complex strategic challenges, crafting creative and innovative solutions to drive Homes England's mission. Delivering on our bold mission isn't always easy, so you'll need to be resilient and adept at working with senior stakeholders. Your strategic discussions will always be grounded in a strong understanding of the commercial and operational impact of our work.
We're looking for someone with demonstrable knowledge of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) principles, methodologies, and tools, coupled with practical experience in data collection, reporting, or coordination. You'll have the ability to work at pace, expertly managing competing deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs, often in ambiguous environments. Your good written and verbal communication skills will enable you to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders. We also need a creative thinker who can assimilate and analyse complex information to find solutions that support Homes England’s objectives.
You should enjoy working in an innovative, fun, and engaging way, with a talent for negotiation and persuasion. As a project manager, you'll also excel at fostering a truly collaborative and inclusive team environment.
