Working in a team with Hannah Wilson, our Senior Growth Manager and alongside other analyst colleagues, you will be confident using excel for reporting purposes and using formulas and pivot tables to analyse and present data to colleagues. You will provide data support to local hub teams and should have the ability to work pro-actively responding to internal and external data requests efficiently and accurately.
You will play a critical role supporting the national Growth Team in our work to develop a pipeline of new affordable housing opportunities. We have ambitious plans to invest via the Affordable Homes Programme.
You will be joining our highly experienced and motivated team focused on supporting the sector to increase delivery, maximising opportunities for investment and meeting local ambitions. The role has a national remit but working closely with the Growth hubs which are based in Bristol, Coventry, Northstowe and Leeds.
We believe in delivering a first-class customer service, resolving delivery issues informally wherever possible, taking an innovative and creative approach to building more affordable housing. The Affordable Housing team ethos is to work in a collaborative and flexible way and valuing diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making, managing risk and problem solving within their team.
This is a great chance to help grow and shape the future of affordable housing delivery in an ambitious, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional team you will ensure efficient, consistent, and effective delivery that will help to create new homes.
Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be responsible for providing accurate information to enable good quality decisions to be made to increase the supply of affordable housing. This will require collaboration with teams across Affordable Housing Grants and the wider agency. You will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You’ll be comfortable working with data with excellent attention to detail to provide accurate information to the Growth Team and Senior Leadership Team to enable us to use the evidence to build a pipeline and deliver affordable housing.
You’ll have excellent IT and data analytical skills and be able to use a range of systems such as Business Objects, Power BI, Excel and various in-house IT packages. These will be used to interpret information into meaningful intelligence that will enable proactive programme delivery and product development.
You’ll also have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work to agreed timescales.
As an experienced analyst, you’ll understand how to manage colleagues’ expectations, and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
We are the Government’s national housing agency. Our role is to accelerate the pace of house-building across the country, particularly in areas where there are the most serious affordability issues – meaning people are struggling to find homes.
We have the appetite, influence, expertise and resources to drive positive market change and meet the Government’s ambition to deliver 300,000 new homes a year. We are using our land, influence, funds and knowledge to increase the pace, scale and quality of new homes accelerating delivery in areas of greatest demand and helping create great places to live. Within the next few years, we will have invested over £27 billion across our programmes. To deliver against these aims we’re building a different kind of public service - join us to help make this happen.
We would encourage all applicants to apply as soon as possible as we may close vacancies early should we receive a high number of applications. We also encourage you to apply using the full application option as opposed to quick apply, this is especially important if you would like to indicate to us that you would like to be considered under the disability confident scheme.
If your application is shortlisted to interview, we will require you to provide proof of your right to work in the UK at that stage.
