A bit about the role...

This is a Senior Leadership Role in an established Structured Real Estate Finance (SREF) Origination Team Working directly with the Assistant Director of SREF, Head of Risk and Head of Portfolio Management.

The job is a national role leading 1 team dedicated to Origination, Structuring and Transaction Execution, consisting of c6 staff. This position will play a critical role in Loans, responsible for deploying c£700m from the LUHBF. 

You will be expected to have a demonstrable track record of: -

Leading your team through complex debt transactions including Senior Debt and Mezzanine Finance (both bi-lateral & A/B Participation structures), multi-site facilities and corporate balance sheet lending.

Negotiating Legal matters, including but not limited to Inter-creditor principles and LMA documentation

You will be joining highly skilled & experienced team of Banking professionals, who are committed to making positive change in how capital is deployed to both the benefit of the developers and the UK taxpayer in delivery much needed housing in support of our strategic plan to unlock investments and make the market more resilient.

The team is dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service, taking an innovative and creative approach to ensure delivery of Homes England’s key objectives. We believe in working in a collaborative/flexible way to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team.

This is a key strategic role within the Investments directorate. The postholder must have excellent working relationships with a range of key partners including funders, equity investors, housebuilders together with sector professionals such as lawyers’ advisory agents. 

 A bit about you…

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

You'll be comfortable leading your team supporting the origination of complex lending structures. 

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an Origination team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

As an experienced Banking professional, you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
