Cambridge has become a major incubator of successful tech start-ups contributing significantly to the UK economy. However, Cambridgeshire and its surrounding areas face significant challenges. Water, transport and housing problems affect the quality of life for Cambridgeshire’s residents leading to some global science businesses choosing different locations, notwithstanding Cambridge’s research reputation,
To address these challenges and to ensure Greater Cambridge can continue to thrive and bring even greater benefits to the UK economy and world science and health, the Cambridge Growth Company Limited (CGC) has been established. CGC is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Homes England.
This is an exciting role supporting CGC during its formative stages. This permanent role will initially be within Homes England, but it is expected the role will transfer to CGC when it transitions to a Development Corporation or successor body (likely to be in about 18 months’ time).
The successful candidate will support the Assistant Director Legal, Equity and Joint Ventures with delivering and managing an innovative, proactive, professional legal service to the CCGC and the wider Cambridge place-based project.
Leading on all matters relating to the delivery of legal advice including equity finance and joint venture agreements and related documents, lending arrangements and public funding, corporate and property related matters.
