The Markets, Partners and Place (MPP) Directorate leads Homes England’s delivery of major projects in priority places alongside development of new opportunities and projects. The Directorate leads our response to devolution and the establishment of long-term partnerships with Combined Authorities via our Strategic Place Partnership (SPP) model.
The Markets Partners & Places (MPP) North Team is looking for a Partnership and Business Development Analyst to join our experienced team. We are focussed on unlocking tens of thousands of homes across the North of England, in sustainable, well-designed communities. We do this by supporting the coordination and delivery of complex, large-scale regeneration projects.
The team work on long term regeneration projects requiring complex or multiple interventions to unlock delivery and drive projects forward. We also coordinate a range of interventions offered by Homes England meaning you will be at the heart of the Agency’s capacity to support housing and regeneration, including through loan finance. We coordinate partnerships between the public and private sectors to bring the required mix of capital, land, and delivery expertise to each project.
You will be a part of a team that has responsibility for delivering some of the Agencies most important and ambitious development and infrastructure projects that achieve transformative regeneration as well as housing growth.
You will be part of a friendly team that ensures regeneration and housing growth delivery occurs in our priority places by working with internal and external stakeholders. This means developing projects that meet both the ambitions of partners and our new Strategic Plan but also develop business case propositions to draw-down available capital funds in an innovative and problem-solving way. Your role is to ensure that projects happen.
• You will be part of a team that works with partners throughout your region playing a leading role in promoting the Agency and the work we do.
• You will help develop and deepen relationships with local partners, Mayoral Strategic Authorities in priority housing markets and act as a conduit between Homes England and key partners, influencing key decisions and leveraging relationships to generate new business.
• You will lead or support multidisciplinary teams, drawing on skills and expertise form across the agency to drive progress in complex, long term regeneration and housing growth projects and enable delivery in priority locations.
• You will support the Regional Director in the Regional Forums acting as a route by which colleagues from across the Agency can help drive improved pipeline development, programme performance and place-based impact by bringing the whole Agency to our delivery challenge.
• Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders. You will be a critical friend to partners, while also being supportive and engaging, you will be comfortable with having difficult and challenging conversations.
• Your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an agency.
• You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
• You will be used to "spinning several plates" at once, meeting various internal and external deadlines and will always be looking for ways to improve.
